  6:30-7:30 pm - Program: Aging in Place: What you need to know to support your clients

  Tina O'Keeffe, Founder of Stow and Behold and a member of the Senior Umbrella Network of Queens, will moderate this important presentation featuring Steven Schwartzman, Director of ElderCare NY, and David McSwiggen, Physical Therapist with Concierge Physical Therapy.

  Steven will focus on educating us about the Geriatric Care Manager industry, what geriatric care managers do, how to find one, and how to assess whether your client may need to consider one.  He will also provide tips on how to have this conversation with our clients. 

  David will focus on the role of physical therapy in helping older adults maintain mobility, independence, and safety at home. He’ll also offer practical insight into creating safer, more functional spaces and how professional organizers can collaborate with PTs and other care professionals to support clients aging in place.

  There is no fee to attend this meeting. Those who attend this meeting will receive complimentary access to our Members-Only Chapter Meeting, which is right after the New & Prospective Member Meeting.
