Program: A Maximalist’s Guide to Creatively Organizing Your Clients’ Collections

Presenter: Jeanie Engelbach, apartmentjeanie

Not all organizers are designers and not all designers are organizers. However, the clients they serve often have collections, collectibles or amass something that can be curated and cultivated into a functioning design element.

This presentation will focus on how to determine when clutter may be a collection and how to create a system that allows the collection to grow while showcased. It will also cover the benchmarks of a good collection. There will be many visuals to help illustrate what works well as a collection and how to best organize them.

Key Takeaways:

  1. How to determine what is a strong collection for display versus storage
  2. How to create interesting displays for clients’ collections
  3. The sweet spot of organization and design

Dubbed the “chaos conqueror” by Town & Country, Jeanie Engelbach is the founder and boss lady of apartmentjeanie, a NYC based interior re-design and professional organization business.

Jeanie has been featured in The Wall Street JournalNew York PostCNNNew YorkThe Washington PostForbes and HGTV. She was included in Country Living’s inaugural Top 100 Creatives.
