How to Properly Handle and Store your Wardrobe Through the Seasons

Many of your clients may be faced with the dilemma of how to properly store their off-season garments. This topic will be especially relevant at this time for summer wear, as the temperature cools down and many prepare for seasonal closet changes. This presentation will provide NAPO members with best practices for storing seasonal garments that can help make decisions for a client when choosing storage materials, a storage location, and handling techniques. This, in turn, will add value to their wardrobes as their items as kept in pristine condition and the lifetime of wear is extended.

Presented by Danielle Morrin of Garde Robe. Danielle has been with Garde Robe over 4 years and is a Fashion Historian, Archivist, and Wardrobe Manager. She received her MA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion & Museum Studies, and applies this knowledge of preservation to her work at Garde Robe. Garde Robe was founded in 2001 and pioneered the luxury wardrobe management and Cyber Closet® valet concept to service the needs of couture collectors, city residents with inadequate closet space, business travelers, globetrotters, multiple home owners, and fashion designers
